To start, there’s the CIE 1976 Uniform Chromaticity Diagram that represents the visible specter of colors by the human eye, giving you a better perception of the color gamut coverage and the color accuracy. To make sure we are on the same page, we would like to give you a little introduction to the sRGB color gamut and the Adobe RGB. The contrast ratio is astonishing – 1510:1 (1400:1 after profiling). Values of dE2000 over 4.0 should not occur, and this parameter is one of the first you should check if you intend to use the laptop for color sensitive work.
In other words, the leakage of light from the light source. In the illustration below you can see how the display performs from a uniformity perspective. The average color temperature through the grey scale before profiling is even warmer – 6830K. The Correlated Color Temperature on a white screen is 6630K – very close to, but still colder than the optimal for the sRGB standard of 6500K. The measured maximum brightness of 324 nits in the middle of the screen and 320 nits as an average for the whole area, with a maximum deviation of just 4%. We offer images at 45° to evaluate image quality. The screen turns into Retina when viewed at distance equal to or greater than 30cm (12″) (from this distance one’s eye stops differentiating the separate pixels, and it is normal for looking at a laptop). The screen ratio is 16:9, and we are looking at a pixel density of – 282 ppi, and a pitch of 0.09 х 0.09 mm. It bears a model number AUO30EB and has a diagonal of 15.6″ (39.62 cm), and the resolution 3840 x 2160 pixels. HP Spectre x360 15 (15-df0000) is equipped with a gorgeous UHD touchscreen panel. What is interesting about the Thunderbolt ports is that one of them is located at the corner of the laptop, while the other one can be used to charge the device if you have the appropriate cable. 2) connectors with Thunderbolt 3 support and a single USB Type-A 3.1 (Gen. As you can see from the imagery, the characters are printed with a very high font size, which looks a little weird at first but is pretty useful in low light conditions, especially when paired with the adjustable backlight. In addition to the relatively long travel, they have nice tactile feedback.
Unlike some of the competition (aghm… Lenovo Yoga 730 (15″) …aghm) the keyboard here features the NumPad keys, which some of us love.
However, we should not ignore the other, more conventional, input methods – the keyboard and touchpad. Obviously, the most exciting thing about the HP Spectre x360 15 (15-df0000) is its 4K touchscreen panel and its ability to be used with a stylus. This trend continues to a “tent” mode and even when you completely close them in the other way (meaning “tablet” mode). As we already mentioned they are not very stiff at the closed position, but as soon as you lift them up, they do a pretty good job of securing the display. Let’s get back to the hinges for a second as they are a pretty interesting feature in this device. Compared to its main rivals it is a little bit thicker and a little bit heavier but it definitely compensates with its visuals. Anyways, we are talking about a 15-inch convertible with all aluminum design which weighs 2.18 kg and is just 19.3 mm thick.
